Back around 1999 I wrote Bea Arthur a letter asking her to autograph a Star Wars card for me. The card feature a scene from the Tatooine cantina. The sci-fi nerds out there will know that she was in the illustrious 1978 Star Wars Holiday special (George Lucas first mistake…his second was Willow)…anyway, she was real cool to me and signed the card, sent it back along with a short note.
I’ve seen every single episode of The Golden Girls. I started watching when I was 10 years old, every day after school was over I would turn on the t.v. and sing along with the intro song. It took about two years.Eight years later I still know the words to the intro song and can still remember a lot. Bea was always my fave out of them all.
