I think from ’82 – ’89, there were a lot of electro/hip-hop “Smurf” tracks (ie: Gigolo Tony – Smurf Rock, Sidney – Let’s Break (Smurf), The Smurfs – Smurf for What It’s Worth, Chapter Three – Smurf Groove, and of course, Tyrone Brunson – The Smurf).
